Learning to run again

I've been resting too long

Ocean waves my metronome

Chasing the scent of the sea

I'm learning to run again

Racing forward to strong

Breathing in and out in waves

Feet pound and fly

I'm learning to run again

Finding a way back to me

Heart races and beats

Breath ragged, lungs filled

I'm learning to run again 

to find where I'm free
